This 16-week course is designed to prepare students to pass the state exam for certified nursing assistants. Students will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in a nurse assistant. Instruction consists of lectures, demonstrations, group work and clinical experience.
 
The CNA program is held 4 nights per week, Monday through Thursday. There will also be an occasional Saturday morning. The program consists of classroom (theory) instruction and hands-on (clinical) training. Theory instruction is held the first 3 weeks and then each Monday for the duration of the program. Theory hours are 5:00pm - 9:00pm on the PAEC campus. Clinical instruction is held at a long-term care facility (TBD) and begins the fourth week of class. Clinical hours are 4:30pm - 8:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday. There will be an occasional Saturday morning included in the clinical training.
 
Requirements to enroll in the Certified Nursing Assist Training program:
Valid California Driver's License or ID card
Original Social Security card
Complete Physical 
Updated Immunizations
LiveScan Fingerprinting
 
FEE: $800.00 Books are not included in registration fee.
 
All students must attend an information session for program enrollment. At the information session you will learn more about the requirements needed to enroll in the CNA program and you may ask the instructor any questions you may have.
